Modern and accurate online colour vision test based on Ishihara plates for quick and reliable colour blindness detection.
The Ishihara colour vision test is the most commonly used method for detecting red-green colour blindness (colour vision deficiency). The test was developed by Japanese ophthalmologist Dr. Shinobu Ishihara in 1917.
The test consists of coloured plates containing dots of various colours and sizes. People with normal colour vision can recognise numbers or shapes hidden in these plates, whilst people with colour vision deficiencies cannot see them or see different patterns.
This online test is for screening purposes only and cannot replace professional medical examination. For definitive diagnosis, consult an eye care professional.
